Anantapur
Anantapur: CPI State Executive Council Member K. Ramakrishna said his party would support the Telugu Desam Party's no confidence motion against the Congress government. Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Mr. Ramakrishna said that the government which is claiming to be farmer-friendly has thrown all its promises to the wind and has lost the moral right to continue in power. Farmers, he said were going through an unprecedented crisis and the government has failed to offer minimum support price to paddy farmers apart from it's failure to supply quality seeds and fertilizers to the farmers. Agitation programmes The CPI would be launching an agitational programme against the Central and State governments which were pursuing anti-farmer policies. Dubbed as ‘Samara Bheri', protests would be held in all the 23 districts. The programme would be launched in Anantapur on June 11 followed by June 12 at Vijayawada and June 15 at Hyderabad.
