VIZIANAGARAM: Collector M. At a meeting with them, Mr. Veerabrahmaiah said that input subsidy of Rs. 21crores sanctioned towards crop damage on account of unseasonal rains in December last year would be disbursed among farmers at the sadassus. During this kharif, he said that farm credit plan was put at Rs. 480 crores. Of the amount, each mandal would get Rs.5 crores per month and it would be released in June, July and August. With regard to seed and fertilizers, the Collector warned officials of serious action and informed them to submit report on availability of stock with private seed dealers in the district. He told them to infuse confidence among farmers. He also reviewed the NREGP works and asked field assistants to motivate labour so that they can earn more wages particularly in Denkada, Nellimarla and Bobbili mandals where some labour complained of lower wages.
