Chandy's intervention sought

Special Correspondent

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Leader of the Opposition V.S. Achuthanandan has alleged that attempts are being made to scuttle the CBI probe into the row over lotteries from other States.

Mr. Achuthanandan said in a statement here on Saturday that even though the Centre had agreed in the High Court to order a CBI probe into the black money which the lotteries from other States took out of Kerala and the purpose for which it was used and the court was informed of the directions given to the CBI in connection with it, the CBI was yet to take steps. He would approach the court if immediate steps were not taken to conduct the probe.
