Mani denies seeking Central berth for KC(M)
A Correspondent
Nedumbassery: Finance Minister K.M. Mani, on Saturday, dismissed reports that he had demanded a ministerial berth for his party in the Union Cabinet as a quid pro quo for relinquishing the claim for another post in the Kerala Cabinet. “I have not made any such demands to the Congress high command. Neither have we held any such discussions,” he replied to a query by presspersons on his visit to New Delhi. Mr. Mani said he had gone to the national capital for briefing the Union Finance Ministry about the financial status of the State and to seek financial assistance. The discussions were preliminary in nature.
