Course on sea weed cultivation

Tuticorin: Maritech Research and Extension Centre, Tharuvaikulam, which is functioning under the Directorate of Research and Extension (Fisheries), Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University will offer a month-long certificate course on “Seaweed cultivation” and “Basic techniques in shrimp farming” during July and August, 2011. During these courses, techniques of seaweed cultivation and shrimp farming will be taught as theory classes for seven days and on-farm demonstrations for 21 days. The fee for the certificate course is Rs. 750. At the end of the course, University certificate will be issued to successful candidates. Interested candidates should register their names with the Associate Professor and Head, Maritech Research and Extension Centre, Tharuvaikulam – 628 105, Tuticorin District on or before July 8.
