Nagercoil: Working president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) S.Vedantham appreciated the efforts taken by Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa for ensuring the welfare of the people belonging to all walks of life. Speaking to press persons on Saturday, he said that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who implemented many welfare and other developmental activities, had earned fame throughout the country. Welfare board sought Mr. Vedantham also demanded the government constitute a welfare board for farmers. Moreover, he appealed to the government to set up a welfare board for temple priests who were put to untold hardship throughout the State. Laptops The announcement of the Chief Minister to distribute laptops to students would be very helpful, said Mr. Vedantham.
