Prasad, Chief Personnel Officer, Southern Railway, in the city. — TIRUCHI: A total of 127 teachers working in Railway High and Higher Secondary Schools falling within the Southern Railway zone who took part in the 21-day in-service training were given certificates at the valedictory function held here on Saturday. During the course of the three-week long in-service training, faculty members from various colleges, Bharathidasan University, District Institute of Education and Training, and Directorate of Teacher Education Research and Training (DTERT) conducted classes on a variety of topics for the participants. The sessions covered topics including Lateral Thinking, Personal Effectiveness, Professional Ethics, Evaluation Techniques, Sense of Humour in Teaching, Computer Assisted Learning, Gender Bias in Education, Classroom behaviour, Class decorum and Professional development. Assignments and field trip also formed part of the training programme that was organised by the Southern Railway and DTERT, Chennai. The Chief Personnel Officer, Southern Railway, N.K.Prasad, distributed certificates to the teachers. The CWM, Golden Rock Workshop, P.Mahesh, released a booklet on training module .
