Bangalore: Two children drowned in the Dommasandra lake on the outskirts of the city on Saturday. Rajesh (11) and Sushma (11), both class five students at the Dommasandra Government School, had gone to the Anjaneya temple near their school. They then decided to swim in the lake though they did not know swimming. The police said Sushma went to help Rajesh when she saw that he was drowning and tried to save him, but both met a watery grave. The temple priest seeing the children in difficulty rushed with residents to the lake, but they were too late. Both the bodies were recovered and a case has been registered in the Sarjapur Police Station
