JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Government's Water Resources Department has decided to update information on rainfall, river and dam gauge at the rain gauge stations across the State daily. All arrangements for this will be put in place before the onset of the monsoon season. State Additional Chief Secretary (Water Resources) Ram Lubhaya said at a review meeting on water resources information here over the weekend that these details would be available online after data-feeding through mobile phones is completed by officials. He said information on the department's new, ongoing and completed irrigation projects would be made available promptly to the consultants to facilitate water audit and benchmarking which would be incorporated into the new software. Special training will be imparted to the scientists working with the department. Chief Engineer (Quality Control) P. L. Solanki said the training in water resources information system being given to the department's officers since April had 11 modules. Among others, Chief Engineer (Water Resources) Kundan Lal, Chief Engineer (Water Resources Planning) G. R. Bhansali, Additional Chief Engineer, Jaipur division, Akshay Kothari, and officer on special duty B. S. Bhatia attended the meeting organised at Sinchai Bhavan here.
