Staff Reporter

Bangalore: The former Minister P.G.R. Sindhia, has urged the Government to extend the last date for paying the initial deposit for houses built for the economically weaker sections by the Bangalore Development Authority from May 31 to June 30.

Mr. Sindhia, in a release, also appealed to Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, to reduce the initial deposit for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe applicants from Rs. 34,500 to Rs. 5,000 and for others from Rs. 68,750 to Rs. 10,000, as the applicants were not in a position to make such a huge payment.
