Santhosh adjudged best

MANNARGUDI: K. Santhosh was adjudged the best boxer in the State sub-junior boxing championship, which concluded here recently.

Southern Railway Institute (Chennai) bagged the team championship.

The results (all winners):

14 years of age: 38-40kg: Aijas (Disha); 40-42kg: P. Ajith Kumar (SDAT); 42-44kg: J. Feroz (Karur); 44-46kg: S. Vetriselvan (Southern Railway Institute); 48-50kg: G.K. Diwakaran (Chennai); 52-54kg: M. Kumar (Coimbatore).

13 years of age: 34-36kg: K. Premkumar (Vellore); 36-38kg: S. Dilli Babu (Southern Railway Institute); 40-42kg: M. Balaji (Disha).

42-44kg: Emmanuel Jacob (Salem); 44-46kg: K. Santhosh (Disha); 46-48kg: A. Karthick (Southern Railway Institute).

12 years of age: 28-30kg: M. Sanjay (Disha); 30-32kg: S. Pandiaraj (Cuddalore).

32-34kg: R. Maniraj (Tirupur); 38-40kg: B. Bharath (Southern Railway Institute); 42-44kg: P. Appu (Chennai) .

TN teams

The following players have been selected to represent Tamil Nadu in the sub-junior National throwball championship for boys and girls to be held in Hoshangabad, Madhya Pradesh, between June 10 and 12.

Cricket coaching camp

The Chennai Stars Cricket Academy will conduct its annual coaching camp for boys (6-19 yrs) at Dr. Vimala convent school ground, Amman Nagar, West KK Nagar, Chennai from June 11.

The coaching sessions will be on Saturdays, Sundays and Government holidays (5:45 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. to 6 p.m.).

Cricket tournament

Harrington Cricket Academy is organising a State-level U-17 tournament for boys from Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry beginning on June 10 at A.M. Jain College and Cantonment HSS.

Selection trials for the round-robin league tourney will be held on June 5 at the Sacred Matriculation HSS.
