AI, FCI advance
NEW DELHI: Air India and Food Corporation of India won their respective matches in the 35th Lala Raghubir cricket tournament at the Modern School ground here on Monday.
Air India defeated Vidya Jain Club by two wickets and FCI overcame Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association by four wickets.
The scores:
Vidya Jain Club 241 for nine in 40 overs (Joginder Singh 105, Karan Negi 39, Rizwan three for 32, Sonu Sharma three for 21) lost to Air India 242 for eight in 39.4 overs (Chandan Madan 100, Deepak Joon 45, Sparsh Jain three for 30).
HPCA 202 for eight in 40 overs (Manan Sharma 42, Varun Sharma 34) lost to FCI 205 for six in 37.3 overs (Paras Dogra 43, Rohit Saini 39, Rajinder Bisht 38 n.o.).
