VIJAYAWADA: Principal of Andhra Loyola College Francis Xavier has said that they will accord greater priority to industry interactions to impart best skills to the students of the Bachelor of Business Administration course. The college introduced the course for the first time from the 2011-12 academic year with the purpose of providing an opportunity to candidates in the city and surrounding areas to take up careers in administrative and managerial positions. The three-year course would consist of institutional internship training besides regular talks by experts from the industry. Fr. Xavier told reporters that the cost of the programme was Rs. 12,800 and there would wide-ranging subject specialisations such as human resources management, management principles, business communication, financial and management accounting, and banking. As value addition, there would be personality development programmes and experiential learning. Talking about other new courses, Fr. Xavier said they were launching an innovative course in BA (music, dance, animation, and sound) at the underground level with any group at the Intermediate level as eligibility for admissions. He said that this would be a good opportunity for students having talent and interest in music, dance, and drawing. For details, contact the principal's office (phone No. 2476082) or HoD of Visual Communication (8885220678).
