Will be launched in 710 districts in the country Kolhapur: In Maharashtra, 4,566 cases of corruption have been booked but the prosecution rate has been just 27 per cent, according to figures of the National Crime Bureau, said Bindumadhav Joshi, chief of the Maharashtra Grahak Panchayat who was in Kolhapur on Monday. He told presspersons that a movement would be launched in 710 districts in the country against the government's inaction against corruption for which people would be urged not to pay taxes until corruption was curbed. The timing of the movement would be announced after a tour of the districts in a couple of months, he said. Book released A book Sulabha Pravasacha Kanmantra (Wise Counsel of Easy Journey) listing consumers' rights — for railways passengers and State transport buses written by Prasad Burande, chief of the Kolhapur district unit of the Grahak Panchayat, was released by Mr. Joshi. Kolhapur Consumer Forum president M.D. Deshmukh, Deputy General Manager of Bank of Maharashtra R.T. Bangartale, and Assistant General Manager of NABARD Ashok Kamble were present.
