KOLKATA: Describing State employees as members of the “West Bengal Government family”, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said here on Tuesday that she believed that they were “good” even though they may differ when it comes to the question of political ideals. “Part of Govt. family” “My employees are good…this is a West Bengal Government family”, she said, adding that she had spoken to various employees' associations since assuming office on May 20. The employees she had met had assured her government their cooperation, Ms Banerjee said. “Shouting don't work” As for their performance “shouting out at them (when their work is found wanting) or taking stern steps does not work”, the Chief Minister observed. One will have to get all to work with kind words, she added.
