Karwar: Taken in by an astrologer's suggestion to get rid of his enemy, man who performed a puja in the nude in public was taken to the police station in Ankola on Monday evening. Mr. Nataraj of Vandige in Ankola had a dispute with his neighbour for the last few years. He was facing mental harassment allegedly by his neighbour and decided to avenge the humiliation and went to an astrologer. Astrologer The astrologer asked Mr. Nataraj to perform the Tulsi puja outside his house in the twilight for seven days by standing nude. The astrologer reportedly said after seven days of nude worship the enemy would die. Believing this, Mr. Nataraj performed the puja for six days. However on Monday night, when he came out of his house to perform the puja, a woman from the neighbourhood saw him and raised an alarm. The people in the locality informed the police. The police who reached the spot and took him to the police station. When police heard the story they let him off with a warning. The people in town demanded action against the astrologer. The police are on look out for the astrologer, who is reported to be absconding.
