Regularisation of services sought
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: Members of the Akhila Karnataka Pre-University Job-Oriented Course Employees' Association have appealed to the State Government to regularise their services.
Speaking to presspersons here on Tuesday, president of the association N. Ravi said the Government, on November 18, 2010, had taken a decision to regularise the services of 3,746 employees, who were now working at various government departments, after the Government decided to discontinue Job-Oriented Courses in PU colleges.
But, on March 17 the Government regularised the services of only 3,216 employees who had put in more than five years of service. The remaining 530 teaching and non-teaching staff, who had served for less than five years, were relieved from service in May.
