VDCA ‘D' triumphs
VISAKHAPATNAM: VDCA ‘D' claimed the Sri RVVK Prasad Memorial Trophy, beating VDCA ‘C' by 42 runs in the two-day final at the ACA-VDCA Stadium here on Wednesday.
The following players received special prizes: K. Bharat Reddy (player of the tournament); B. Sumanth (best batsman), G. Shankar Rao (best bowler) and Ricky Bhui (promising young player).
VDCA vice-president P.R. Narayanaswami presented the trophy to the winner in the presence of VDCA secretary K. Parthasaradhi and others.
The scores: VDCA ‘D' 152 and 180 for nine in 40 overs (K. Bharat Reddy 62, T.V. Sai Dinesh 61, H. Vatekar six for 75) bt VDCA ‘C' 120 in 50.5 overs (K.S. Bharat 47, Ricky Bhui 26, T. Atchuta Rao five for 35) and 170 in 37 overs (G. Chiranjeevi 60, K.S. Bharat 44, T. Srinivasa Rao five for 36, G. Shankar Rao four for 60) .
