United SC draws Chirag's wrath
KOLKATA: The association between the management of the city-based I-League club United SC and its financier Chirag has run into rough weather with the latter accusing the former of professional misconduct.
Chirag owner Kaustav Roy has claimed that the present incumbent in the club management has not included his firm officially despite having formed a company, which has the sole right to make all the commercial decisions regarding the running of the club.
The club management has refuted the claims and this brings the two entities on a warpath, with Chirag weighing legal options to counter it.
“We will approach the All India Football Federation and ask them to look into the matter. We have a legally valid agreement to prove our stake in the club,” Roy said.
