Tirunelveli: As many as 106 petitions were received at Jamabandhi programme held at Alangulam Tasildar office here on Wednesday. Collector S. Natarajan presided over the programme. Petitions on various requirements were received from seven villages under the taluk. Petitions demanding patta transfer, old age pension benefits, marriage assistance, electricity facilities and desiltation of tanks were submitted. Remedial measures would be taken based on the significance and authenticity of grievances. The orders for patta transfer and old age pension for availing benefits would be given to beneficiaries on June 16. Muruganandham, Tasildar, Alangulam, officials of various departments including Highways, Public Works and TWAD attended the programme.
