Collector U. Sagayam receives 558 petitions and of them 121 seeks old age pension
Call to make use of the ‘jamabandhi' to be conducted in the sub-divisions till June 14
MADURAI: The District Collector, U. Sagayam, received 558 petitions at the ‘jamabandhi' (revenue tribunal) held at Tirumangalam on Wednesday. Among them were 121 petitions seeking old age pension.
Wednesday's ‘jamabandhi' was for villages located in Kurayoor sub-division: Edayapatti, Odaipatti, Melauppilikundu, T. Kokkulam, Peikulam, Chennampatti, Saluppapillaiyarnatham, Paaraikulam, Tirumal, Kurayoor, Marudankudi, S. Vellakulam, Karukkuvaipatti, Sundarankundu, Veppankulam and Iluppaikulam. Patta transfer was effected for 64 applicants, among 585 petitions, received on Tuesday, according to an official press release.
‘Jamabandhi' will be conducted for villages coming under Sivarakottai sub-division – Villoor, Sengapadai, Swamimallampatti, Karisal Kaalampatti, Keezhanesaneri, Melanesaneri, Ulagani, Nedunkulam, Achankumal, Chinna Ulagani, Koodakoil, Kallanai, Thumbakulam, Valayankulam and T. Arasapatti — on Thursday.
He appealed to residents of villages in Tirumangalam taluk to make use of the ‘jamabandhi' to be conducted in the sub-divisions till June 14.
