Police are investigating the possibility of the victim being kidnapped before the murder CHENNAI: An engineer who was reported missing was found murdered near Tindivanam on Wednesday. According to police sources, the whereabouts of C. Parthasarathy (26) of Ayyan Mudali Street in Chindradripet here was not known since June 2 and his wife N. Saranya (22) lodged a complaint with the police. A special team of the Chindradripet police investigating the complaint received information that the charred body of an unidentified man was found abandoned at Okalur village near Tindivanam. Police informed Saranya who identified the body to be that of her husband. “Preliminary investigation revealed that Parthasarathy did not go to work on the day he was reported missing. Instead of his routine, he took a different route,” Joint Commissioner of Police (Central) K. Shankar said. Police are also investigating the possibility of the victim being kidnapped before the murder. Saranya,a medical college student, got in touch with Parthasarathy through a social networking site and got married, the sources added.
