Educational CDs being distributed

The State Institute of Educational Technology has started distributing academic assistance CDs to students of Class X and Plus Two. The CD, originally priced at Rs. 200, is being given for Rs. 50 after a subsidy of 75 per cent. The content of the CDs is based on the science topics of Class X and Plus Two. The CDs, helpful for both State syllabus and CBSE students, also facilitate easy learning of mathematics, physics, chemistry, zoology, and botany both in English and Malayalam with the aid of visual presentations. Reading contest

The annual P.N. Panikker Memorial reading contest for school children will be organised by the Ernakulam Public Library on June 19. Students of upper primary, high school, and higher secondary can participate in the contest to be held both in English and Malayalam. Winners will be given certificates and cash awards. Praveshanolsavam

The Praveshanolsavam for the newly enrolled lower kindergarten students of Nava Nirman Public School, Vazhakala, was held at the Silver Jubilee indoor stadium in the school campus on Wednesday. Classes for students of Standard XI also began on Wednesday.
