VIJAYAWADA: Haridwar Hunters scored a 25-23 victory over Chennai Cheetas, while the match between Delhi Dashers and Krishna Kings ended in a draw with both teams finishing at 32-32 on the second day of the Kabaddi Premier League championship on Thursday. Delhi Dashers, which was lagging behind by eight points in the first half (11-19), saw International Manoj of Karnataka playing to his potential by garnering points at the crucial moments in the second half. With less than two minutes to go for the final whistle, diminutive Manoj brought home two points to reduce the margin and later Dashers' defence succeeded in blocking Amit from crossing over. Surjit excels For Kings, which logged a lona in the eighth minute, it was international Surjit of Haryana, who excelled especially in his raids. He emerged as the main scorer for Kings. Both Hunters and Cheetas played a waiting game with Hunters taking a lead of five points (13-8) at the end of the first half. Skipper Rakesh shouldered the responsibility along with Jitesh and Jasvir for the Hunters and churned out productive raids. In Wednesday's late night matches, Haryana Hunters defeated Dr. Anand Ongole Bulls 33-21, while Rajasthan Raiders beat hennai Cheetas 42-34. — Principal Correspondent
