Semifinalists spotted

CHENNAI: Rafath Habib will play Siddharth Rao, while R. Loganathan will take on J. Varun Kumar in the semifinals of the India Pistons Snooker Open.

The results:

Quarterfinals: Siddharth Rao (MCC) bt J.R. Pranith (MCC) 4-2; Rafath Habib (SRSA) bt Nadeem Ahmed (Gymkhana) 4-2; R. Loganathan (SIAA) bt Damu Menon (TNBSA) 4-0; J. Varun kumar (MCC) bt Imran Ganj (MCC) 4-2.

Asiatic CA triumphs

Asiatic CA won the finals in all age groups in the Asiatic CA Sanga Memorial Twenty20 cricket tournament here.

The scores (finals):

U-19: Chennai CA 69 in 20 overs (Krish Shrishak three for six, Jabez Moses three for 14) lost to Asiatic CA 71 for seven in 17.2 overs .

U-17: Vidya Mandir 99 for seven in 20 overs (K.S. Neetesh three for 12) lost to Asiatic CA. 100 for four in 18.5 overs (B. Roop Prasad 58).

U-14: MAS CA 79 in 17 overs (E. Kathiravan four for 12) lost to Asiatic CA 82 for four in 17 overs (A. Ashwath 33 n.o.) .

Narayanan-Anandan pair triumphs

R.S. Narayanan and C. Anandan in the North-South direction and V. Krishnan and Sandeep Dang in the East-West direction emerged the winning pairs in the Alumni Club monthly Open bridge tournament on Wednesday.

Other results: North-South: 2. R.V.S. Maniam/ N. Ananth; 3. P.D. Boaz/ S. Krishnan. East-West: 2. R.Viswanathan/ S.V. Sundaram; 3. N. Periasamy/ V. Ramkumar .

Meanwhile, Kedar's Cricket Academy's annual camp begins on June 12 at the RKM Kedar ground with two sessions (6 to 8.15 a.m. and 3.30 to 6 p.m.) from the age group of six onwards under the supervision of eminent coaches.
