NEW DELHI: The Delhi Medical Council has cautioned the public against dealing with Balwant Rai Arora who had earlier been arrested and sentenced for issuing fake medical degrees and has now returned to re-start his business.

“Mr. Arora was sentenced to jail in 2004-05 after he was caught selling fake degrees. Now well over 80 years, he has returned to the same business according to information received by the Delhi Medical Council,” said DMC (Head of Anti-Quackery Cell) Dr. Anil Bansal.

“In 2000, the Delhi Medical Council had recommended strict action against him after which he was caught…But now we have received information that Mr. Arora is back in business and we thought that it best to caution the people,” added Dr. Bansal.
