New Delhi: B. Balaji has been appointed as the new ‘Advocate on Record' for Tamil Nadu in the Supreme Court to succeed Mr. R. Nedumaran, who resigned following a change of government in the State. Mr. Balaji who has vast experience in the Supreme Court in various branches of law, including service and criminal cases, will appear for Tamil Nadu in all areas handled by Mr. Nedumaran. Earlier, he practised in Madras High Court. The State has already appointed one Additional Advocate General Guru Krishna Kumar and one ‘Advocate on Record', Mr. Subramonium Prasad, to handle cases for Tamil Nadu in the Supreme Court. Mr. Balaji will be the third counsel to represent the State.
