Khincha to head State innovation council

Bangalore: The State Government has constituted a 20-member Karnataka State Innovation Council, headed by H.P. Khincha, chairman, Department of Electrical Engineering, IISc., Bangalore.

The Karnataka Knowledge Commission, headed K. Kasturirangan, has recommended the constitution of the council in the State.

Other members of the State council are: Deviprasad Shetty, chairman, Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore; Kiran Muzumdar-Shaw, chairperson and managing director, Bicon Ltd., Bangalore; Janardhana Swamy, Chitradurga MP; M.S. Valiathan, national research professor, Manipal University; V.S. Ramamurthy, director, NIAS, Bangalore; Dileep K. Ranmjekar, CEO, Azim Premji Foundation; R.S. Deshpande, ISEC director, Bangalore; S. Sadagopan, IIIT director, Bangalore; V.S. Hegde, scientific secretary, ISRO, Bangalore; M.P. Kumar, chairman and CEO, Global Edge Software Ltd., Bangalore; Ramji Raghavan, chairman, Agastya Foundation, Bangalore; K.R. Sridhara Murthi, senior expert, office of Adviser to Prime Minister, Public Information Infrastructure and Innovation, Union Government; the Vice-Chancellor, VITU, Belgaum; Venkatesh Murthy, founder, coordinator, Youth for Seva; Principal Secretary, Higher Education; Principal Secretary, e-governance; Principal Secretary, IT, BT and Science and Technology; and M.K. Sridhar, member-secretary and executive director, Karnataka Knowledge Commission, said a government notification.
