HYDERABAD: Members of a media delegation from Pakistan on Friday visited the offices of Andhra Pradesh State Minorities Finance Corporation (APSMFC) to study the existing scheme run by the Corporation.
The Managing Director of APSMFC, Md. Ilyas Rizvi explained in detail the various schemes for minorities including fee reimbursement scheme and four per cent reservation for minorities to teh visiting delegates.
The Managing Director of APSMFC told the Pakistani delegation that the schemes have brought sea-change in the educational status of minorities particularly women in higher education.
Mr. Rizvi also highlighted the efforts of the government to empower women through self help groups.
Participation
Girl students from various educational institutions and women of various self help groups participated in the interactive programme.
The media delegates from Pakistan included Asmat Zubair (Jung), Naveed Akbar (Urdu print media), Ansar Naqvi (Geo TV), Rasheed Channa (Deputy Director, Ary News), Shoab Adil (Nia Zamana), Javed Faroqui (Jang Lahore), Faiz Ahmed (Daily Khabrein) and Zulqernain Tahir (Dawn).
