Gang held for murder plot
BANGALORE: A gang of four has been arrested by the Ramanagaram district police on Friday for allegedly plotting to murder the brother of senior Congress politician D.K. Shivakumar. Refusing to reveal their identity, police sources said the four were arrested in Ramanagaram when they were allegedly conspiring to murder D.K. Suresh, a businessman having interests in quarrying. Sources also revealed that Mr. Shivakumar had filed a complaint with the police on Wednesday.
Arrested
The Madiwala police on Friday arrested construction labourer Vijaykumar (37), who had been absconding after allegedly murdering his mother-in-law Wednesday night. Jayamma (55) was hacked to death after a heated argument between the two, which started when Vijaykumar abused and beat his wife. Jayamma, who had intervened.
