VIJAYAWADA: Dr. Anand Ongole Bulls scored an emphatic 23-16 victory over Chennai Cheetas, while Haryana Hunters outplayed Rajasthan Raiders 61-37 in the league fixtures of the Kabaddi Premier League championship here on Saturday. This victory is Bulls' third consecutive one while the Cheetas' woes continues after having lost all its four matches. Bulls had the upper hand right from the start with its raiders hauling points at regular intervals. Skipper Dinesh Kumar marshalled his resources admirably and made use of international Wazir Singh of Rajasthan astutely. Wazir, who had fetched 24 points in 36 raids so far in the tournament, lived up to the expectations his skipper by hoodwinking the rival defence with his agile raiding. Cheetas lacked teeth in its attack and the raids looked sedentary. Most of the raiders did not even touch the bonus line. For Cheetas it was Manjeet Chiller of Indian Railways, who scored 27 points in 47 raids so far. Lopsided contest In a lop-sided encounter, Haridwar Hunters scored its third victory defeating Rajasthan Raiders. Hunters' raiders and catchers complemented each other paving way for their team's victory. Fleet-footed Jasvir of Rajasthan was the pick of the Hunters raiders. In late matches held on Friday, Krishna Kings outplayed Chennai Cheetas 54-21 while Delhi Dashers defeated Haridwar Hunters 28-27.
