Unorganised sector worst affected, says BJP

Special Correspondent.

HYDERABAD: The BJP State president G. Kishan Reddy on Saturday regretted that despite several labour laws being in place, the unorganised sector was the worst-affected - not getting their due and virtually nothing by way of welfare. Addressing the first State meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Mazdoor Mahasangh, he said post economic reforms, governments had failed in several areas. Labour laws were not being implemented, including those pertaining to minimum wages, he said. Senior party leader Bandaru Dattatreya asked the members to study in-depth, the existing labour laws and suggest improvements.
