Constable sought for wife's hanging

Bangalore: The Thalaghattapura police are looking for constable Kantharaju in connection with the death of his young wife at their house in Kaggalipura village of Ramanagaram district Friday night.
Kantharaju is attached to the Jayanagar Police Station here.
K. Pushpa (25) was found hanging from the ceiling fan in Kaggalipura on Saturday morning. Her father, Krishnappa of Shakhambarinagar near Banashankari here, filed a case of murder against his son-in-law in the Thalaghattapura Police Station. “He killed my daughter after we failed to meet his dowry demands,” the complaint said.
Ever since they married three years ago, Pushpa was regularly harassed for money by Kantharaju, and there was constant tension in the family as a result of this, the police said.
