Two kidnapped students murdered
Special Correspondent
CHICKBALLAPUR: Two students, who were kidnapped for ransom from Hunsur in Mysore district on May 8, were found murdered on Sunday.
The bodies of Sudheendra and Vignesh, both 19, were found on the service road of National Highway 7 near Agalagurki village on the outskirts of Chickballapur around 6 a.m. A passer-by noticed the bodies and informed the Agalagurki residents.
Sudheendra and Vignesh were second year BBM students of Mahajana's College in Mysore and they were kidnapped while they were on their way to the college to write their examination.
The police suspected that the two were murdered late on Saturday night as the stab wounds on the bodies were still fresh.
The students were apparently murdered elsewhere and the bodies dumped near the highway, Chickballapur Superintendent of Police T.D. Pawar told presspersons.
After the autopsy at the District Hospital, the bodies were handed over to the relatives.
