KAKINADA: The two-day ‘Writers' Conference' organised by the East Godavari District Writers' Association has decided to bring out compilation of short stories penned by the writers from the district every year, as there was no proper representation to the stories from the district in the annual editions of Telugu short stories bringing out by various organisations. The proposal was tabled by writer Vadrevu Veeralakshmi Devi during the session on short stories on the second day of the conference on Sunday and seconded by all the participants. Kuppili Padma spoke about the documentation of the impact of globalisation in Telugu short stories, while editor of ‘Chinuku' magazine Nanduri Rajagopal spoke at length about existentialism and how it was being represented in contemporary Telugu stories. T. Patanjali Sastry observed that enormous discussion was taking place about the pros and cons of globalisation in the present day Telugu literature.
