Shanthraj shines

Mysore: A deadly spell of leg-spin bowling by Shanthraj (six for 15), helped National Cricket Club, Mysore, register a five-wicket win over City Cricketers (Mandya) in the KSCA Mysore Zone first division league tie played at the PET grounds in Mandya on Sunday.

First Division: At Mandya: City Cricketers (Mandya) 135 in 32.5 overs (Arbhaz Khan 33, Majeed 26, Shanthraj six for 15) lost to National CC 136 for five in 35 overs (Deepak S. Gowda 35, M.S.Vinay 32).

At Mysore: MUCSC 261 for nine in 50 overs ( Naveen Patil 79, Kuldeep 69, Surendra Prasad 28, G.Pavan 63) drew with Mysore City Gymkhana 184 for eight in 38 overs (Rahul Seshadri 100, G.Pavan 54, S.Dhananjaya five for 77).

Second Division: Karavali Cricketers 219 for nine in 50 overs (J. Shashank 113, B. Rahul 34, Sushanth four for 22) bt Mysore Cricket Club 167 in 43.4 overs (Sumeeth 34, Iqbal 26, Jayaram 25, J.Shashank six for 51) .
