New counsel for Tamil Nadu in Supreme Court

NEW DELHI: Advocate B. Balaji, has been appointed as the new ‘Advocate on Record' for Tamil Nadu in the Supreme Court to succeed Mr. R. Nedumaran, who resigned following change of government in the State. Mr. Balaji who has vast experience of over a decade in the Supreme Court in various branches of law, including service and criminal cases, will appear for Tamil Nadu in all areas handled by Mr. Nedumaran earlier. Earlier he had practised in Madras High Court. The State has already appointed one Additional Advocate General Guru Krishna Kumar and one ‘Advocate on Record' Mr. Subramonium Prasad to handle cases for Tamil Nadu in the Supreme Court and Mr. Balaji will be the third counsel to represent the State.
