KOLLAM: The two-day district unit conference of the Kerala Students Union (KSU) will be held at Sasthamcotta from July 27. The conference will begin with a rally followed by a public meeting to be inaugurated by the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Ramesh Chennithala. Minister for Youth Affairs P.K. Jayalakshmi will deliver the keynote address. The delegates' session on July 28 will be inaugurated by the NSUI president Hibi Eden, MLA. N. Peethambara Kurup, MP, will deliver the keynote address. A meeting between KSU leaders of the past and present will be inaugurated by Kodikunnil Suresh, MP, and district chairman of the United Democratic Front Sooranad Rajashekaran will deliver the keynote address. Tourism Minister A.P. Anil Kumar will inaugurate the cultural conference and film actor Salim Kumar will be the chief guest. Labour Minister Shibu Baby John will inaugurate a meeting organised to honour the rank winners and other students who had registered outstanding performance in sports and cultural events. The valedictory function will be inaugurated by KSU State president Shafi Parambil, MLA. Kollam DCC president Kadavur Sivadasan will deliver the keynote address. Congress leaders K.C. Rajan, Benny Behanan, MLA, Joseph Vazhakkal, MLA, Youth Congress State president P.C. Vishnunath, MLA, and vice-president M. Liju will speak.
