Rs.60 lakh assets of hostel warden seized

NALGONDA: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted searches on the five premises of Jatvat Lalsingh Naik, Warden of ST Hostel at Peddavura in the district, and seized assets valued at about Rs.60 lakh. He was taken into custody.

Among the places searched was his house in Parvedula Hill Colony, Nagarjunasagar, where Naik stays. Deputy Superintendent of Police N. Chandrasekhar and Inspectors Lakshmi and Satyanarayana participated in the checks at Miryalaguda, Nalgonda, Peddavura, Pallpi Thanda, Parvedula Hill Colony. His premises in Hyderabad was also searched.

The ACB officials found that Naik was in possession of a three-storeyed building in Saroornagar, a house in Nalgonda and seven acres of agricultural land. The property in Miryalaguda is yet to be assessed, it is said.
