Two caught selling panther skin

The panther skin seized in Karwar on Thursday.
Karwar: The Murdeshwar Police and Forest Department arrested two persons Shantaram alias Babu (25) and Chandra Naik (25) at Murdeshwar Bus Stand and seized a skin of panther.
Estimated cost
The value of the skin was estimated to be at Rs. 2 lakh. The accused were arrested on Thursday while they were trying to sell it.
According to M. Narayan, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bhatkal, Nagaraj Naik, the main accused in the case had escaped.
Case filed
A case has been registered in the Murdeshwar Police Station.
