Schools resent revised fee structure
Special Correspondent
VELLORE: Several private matriculation schools in Vellore district were not satisfied with the revised fee structure prescribed by the Private Schools Fee Determination Committee, which was handed over to them on Tuesday.
“We cannot pay salaries of our teachers with the fee structure that was prescribed for our school.
“We may go in appeal against the fee structure,” said the principal of a private matriculation school near Katpadi.
This view was echoed by the management representatives of many other matriculation schools, which appealed against the fee structure prescribed by the previous committee and which were supplied the revised fee structure on Tuesday.
No yoga classes
The correspondent of a matriculation school near Katpadi said that the school might not be able to conduct extra-curricular classes such as yoga, and would be unable to supply purified drinking water, which it was doing at present, if it had to follow revised fee structure.
