BIAL launches unique campaign

JUST FOR FUN: Children who are flying or just visiting the airport can participate in the fun activities.
CHICKBALLAPUR: As part of its vision to become the gateway to south India, the Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) is showcasing the region as an “innovative and attractive destination through an adventurous voyage for young explorers”.
A two-week campaign for children, Playport, has been organised at the airport. The event is aimed at enhancing the experience of young travellers through a series of fun activities and visuals that showcase various art and cultural facets of south India, Bangalore International Airport Ltd. (BIAL) said earlier in the week.
The activities include creating pen stands with pots and acrylic colours, making kites, beads, funky key chains and photography, puppet shows, and so on. In fact, the puppet show is a major attraction, and is open to all in the plaza area where traditional tales are narrated through this art form between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. daily.
And for some speed thrills, at both the domestic as well as the international security hold areas, maps of south India are placed with racing tracks to operate remote control cars on.
Children who are flying or even just visiting the airport can participate, the release said.
