The pre-bid meeting for two Logistic Parks proposed close to Outer Ring Road at Batasingaram and Mangalapally was conducted on Thursday and had ten interested developers joining to know more about the projects. While the Logistic Park at Batasingaram has been planned on 40-acre site about 7 km from the ORR towards Vijayawada at a cost of Rs. 35 crore, similar facility on 20 acres at Mangalapally near the ORR towards Nagarjunasagar has been proposed at a cost of Rs.20 crore. The Logistic Parks require infrastructure for truck parking, warehousing, cold storages, automobile service stations, electronic weigh bridges, driver amenities along with restaurants and dhabas. “The pre-bid meeting for these projects has been encouraging and we hope to receive good response by the last date for submission of proposals which is June 30,” HMDA officials said.
