HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), which is looking for partners to take up the Inter City Bus Terminal and Logistic Parks, has held initial round of meetings with firms that have expressed their intent for the mega projects.
For the Inter City Bus Terminal (ICBT) proposed on a 55-acre site located on Miyapur-Kompally Intermediate Ring Road, the pre-bid meeting held on Wednesday had participation from 15 interested developers.
The project proposed at a cost of Rs.100 crore on Build-Own-Transfer (BOT) format looks at providing one-stop integrated facilities for commuters and bus operators by coming up with huge infrastructure in the form of bus bays, idle bus parking facilities, convenient shopping, commercial space and food courts.
The pre-bid meeting for two Logistic Parks proposed close to Outer Ring Road at Batasingaram and Mangalapally was conducted on Thursday and had ten interested developers joining to know more about the projects.
While the Logistic Park at Batasingaram has been planned on 40-acre site about 7 km from the ORR towards Vijayawada at a cost of Rs. 35 crore, similar facility on 20 acres at Mangalapally near the ORR towards Nagarjunasagar has been proposed at a cost of Rs.20 crore.
These two facilities were conceived by the HMDA to address the increasing infrastructure demand for freight logistics in the city. The Logistic Parks require infrastructure for truck parking, warehousing, cold storages, automobile service stations, electronic weigh bridges, driver amenities along with restaurants and dhabas.
“The pre-bid meeting for these projects has been encouraging and we hope to receive good response by the last date for submission of proposals which is June 30,” HMDA officials said.
