BEL showcases capabilities at seminar

Bangalore: Defence public sector unit Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL) had organised a seminar-cum-exhibition, showcasing its wide range of systems and solutions for the Indian Navy, at the Eastern Naval Command, Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam, recently.

The event was inaugurated by Vice-Admiral Sunil Lanba, Chief of Staff, HQ Eastern Naval Command.

Rear Admiral K.R. Nair, Admiral Superintendent, Dockyard; Rear Admiral Bisht, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet; Rear Admiral S.K. Mittal, CSO (Tech.), HQ Eastern Naval Command; and over 300 Naval and civilian officers attended the event, according to a press release.

The seminar held on June 9 included presentations on the entire gamut of Naval solutions designed and developed by BEL, the release said.

Vice-Admiral Lanba stressed the need for indigenisation and improvements towards product support.

H.N. Ramakrishna, Director (Marketing), BEL, said the company was committed to providing state-of-the-art products and services to the Indian Navy.
