Fighting for justice: Lawyers staging a demo in Nagapattinam on Friday.

NAGAPATTINAM: Lawyers in Nagapattinam district boycotted courts in Sirkazhi, Nagapattinam and Mayiladuthurai demanding arrest of culprits involved in the murder of the 24-year-old son of a lawyer in Chennai.

The case has been handed over to CBI.About 150 lawyers in Mayiladuthurai over 140 in Nagapattinam, and 47 lawyers in Sirkazhi boycotted the courts demanding expeditious investigation in the case.

Thanjavur

Advocates of the district also boycotted courts on Friday demanding speedy investigation into the alleged killing of Sathishkumar, son of senior advocate R.Sankarasubbu of Chennai on June 13.

They staged a demonstration within the court complex.
