Nokia dual SIM phones launched

Double bonanza:Nokia Franchisee Ratna Communications representative handing over a dual SIM phone to the first customer in Vijayawada on Saturday.

VIJAYAWADA: For the first time, Nokia launched its dual SIM phones in two models in city market in order to capture the expanding dual SIM phones market. The two models are C2-00 and X1-01, which are priced at Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 2,000 respectively as announced by the representatives of dealer Ratna Communications.

As the dual SIM market has grabbed 40 per cent of mobile market in India and is still growing, Nokia has come out with these two models initially and the same will be expanded to other models including high-end phones. The C2-00 model is an internet phone with a feature of 32 GB expandable memory.

Speaking after the launch at Nokia Showroom near Chennupati Petrol Bunk, Ratna Communications partners Jogu Prasad and G. Balasubrahmanyam said that the two mobiles would offer smarter and multiple SIM management such as easy swap besides various other advanced functions. The X1-01 phone has enhanced music capabilities with in-built loud speakers.

They said that the two new models were designed keeping in mind the requirements of Indian consumers and they were expected to set benchmarks in the mobile internet and music space in the entry level dual SIM category. C2-00 is the first dual SIM phone to have easy swap offering consumers the convenience of changing SIM cards without needing to turn off the phone or remove the battery. It also offers the largest expandable memory in Indian market.

New experience

The X1-01 model gives a new experience to users by offering the service of keeping two SIMs active at the same time, which is something unique and there is also a torch. It also comes with loud sound and great music clarity, promising the best music experience. It has got a jumbo battery which delivers up to 36 hours of continued music playback.
