MEETING THE PUBLIC:Medical Education Minister S.A. Ramdas interacting with the residents of Vidyaranyapuram in Mysore on Saturday. MYSORE: Medical Education Minister and district in-charge S.A. Ramdas on Saturday went on a padayatra in some of the localities in his Krishnaraja Assembly constituency here. He interacted with the residents and got to know their problems regarding drinking water supply, roads, underground drainage, electricity and so on. The Minister was joined by officers of various departments. BJP councillors representing wards coming under the constituency also accompanied the Minister. During the padayatra, Mr. Ramdas asked JUSCO officials to supply Cauvery water to Ward No. 10 at least for an hour, in addition to borewell water. He asked the Assistant Director of Horticulture to remove dead trees in wards 13 and 14 (Vidyaranyapuram). The Minister said he would ask the Commissioner of the Mysore City Corporation to suspend the Assistant Executive Engineer of the Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Ravi Kumar, for not addressing ground drainage for the past eight months.
