Rajagopal trying to provoke people of Telangana with his statements, say Telangana leaders A political novice like the Vijayawada MP should be careful about what he speaks in public: VHR HYDERABAD: Congress MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal continued to draw flak from the Telangana leaders, who not only decried his remarks but warned him against “acting in an irresponsible manner”. Leading with Rajya Sabha member V. Hanumantha Rao, there was condemnation for the Congress MP's comments. They alleged that Mr. Rajagopal was trying to provoke the people of Telangana with his statements. Mr. Hanumantha Rao contended that when leaders like CPI's K. Narayana and BJP's M. Venkaiah Naidu were openly espousing the cause of Telangana, Mr. Lagadapati was only targeting the ruling party leaders from Telangana. Warns MP He said a political novice like the Vijayawada MP should be careful about what he speaks in public. He warned that Telangana Congress leaders would not keep quiet any more if the MP continued to poke fun. Peddapalli MP G. Vivekananda too hit out at his colleague at a press conference. He said when it was apparently clear that the State would be bifurcated, there was no reason for the latter to oppose it. He complimented the Andhra Pradesh Congress MPs Forum convenor Ponnam Prabhakar for his decision to accept the challenge thrown by Mr. Rajagopal and resigning as convenor of MPs. Decision hailed Labour Minister Danam Nagender also hailed the decision of Mr. Prabhakar and blamed Mr. Rajagopal for raking up regional feelings.
