Chief Minister urged to provide 100-bed hospital in Srisailam
HYDERABAD: A delegation of Girijana Vidyarthi Samakhya (GVS) on Sunday requested Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy announce a special package for uplift of Chenchus and development of their habitations by providing infrastructure and basic amenities.
Accompanied by Minister for School Education S. Sailajanath and Government Whip in the Legislative Council Y. Sivarami Reddy, the GVS delegation led by its president V. Sankar Naik urged the Chief Minister to appoint an IAS officer as Project Officer to the Integrated Tribal Development Authority at Srisailam.
Further, they requested the Chief Minister not to force out the Chenchus out of their forest habitations and instead provide all amenities like electricity, anganwadi and residential school to every Chenchu ‘penta' and a 100-bed hospital in Srisailam for their medical care.
The Chief Minister assured them of taking all necessary steps for welfare and development of Chenchus, Girijana Vidyarthi Samakhya chief Mr. Sankar Naik stated.
