Sheema Bai, hailing from Balki of Bidar in Karnataka, was sitting on a stool after having lunch when the portion of a minaret chipped of and fell on her resulting in grievous injuries. Death was instant for the woman, said Moghalpura Sub-Inspector Syed Faiz.
He said Sheema Bai's husband Babu Rao was suffering from paralysis for the past few months. As the hospital was famous for curing paralysis, the elderly couple came to the hospital ten days ago, he said.
“She offered meals to Babu Rao. After having lunch with her husband, she came out of the ward and sat on a stool when the minaret collapsed,” Mr. Faiz said.
